MEET THE ACUPUNCTURISTS AT EAST BRIDGE

MARI GREENLY MSOM, LAc, FABORM

As the founder of East Bridge Acupuncture, my intention has always been to create a warm, welcoming space where patients receive high-quality care from thoughtful, skilled providers. I am currently accepting new patients.

I opened my practice in 2005, following my completion of a Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland (formerly NCNM), where I received extensive training in classical Chinese Medicine. Before graduate school, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Anthropology from the University of Colorado in Boulder and spent time in Asia conducting biological field research, experiences that deeply shaped my understanding of health and the interconnectedness of systems in nature. This inspired my desire to study Chinese medicine.

My work has focused primarily on treating pain and musculoskeletal conditions using a blend of traditional acupuncture techniques, and bodywork.  Throughout the years, I have found deep fulfillment in supporting women’s health, fertility, and pregnancy. This led me to pursue advanced training and certification as a Fellow of the Acupuncture and TCM Board of Reproductive Medicine (ABORM), an organization dedicated to setting rigorous standards for education and clinical excellence in reproductive medicine. As an ABORM Fellow, I integrate both Western reproductive medical approaches and Eastern medicine therapies to provide comprehensive, collaborative care.

A personal passion since the very beginning has been offering Facial Rejuvenation (Cosmetic) Acupuncture since completing advanced training with Virginia Doran in 2005. Over the years, I’ve refined this treatment with my own techniques and enhancements, and it continues to be one of the most joyful aspects of my practice as people look and feel better. More recently, after experiencing the benefits firsthand, I became certified in microneedling, which has been an exciting and much-loved addition to the aesthetic services offered at our clinic.

After many years in practice, I have learned that healing grows from trust, connection, and thoughtful collaboration. I approach each treatment with care and respect for the individual, while continuing to deepen my skills and learning. I hold deep gratitude for my teachers and for the understanding that Chinese Medicine is a lifelong study.  While true healing comes from within, I believe it can be supported through skilled care, collaboration with other providers, and an openness to the many paths that lead toward balance and well-being.

Outside of the clinic, I enjoy road trips with my family, volunteering at school, and spending time outdoors hiking and camping with friends.

ROSE OLSOVSKY, LAc, MAcOM

Rose relocated to Portland in 2018 to pursue her training at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. During her time at OCOM, she was actively involved in the school’s community-focused work-study program, where she spent three years working directly in the herbal pharmacy. After completing the four-year Master’s program, Rose continued her work at the college as part of the Patient Services Team in the student clinic for an additional two years. These varied roles gave her a well-rounded understanding of patient care and helped shape her thoughtful, integrative approach to Chinese Medicine.

As a Licensed Acupuncturist in Oregon and a nationally certified herbalist, Rose draws from a range of therapeutic tools including acupuncture, customized herbal prescriptions, cupping, and East Asian bodywork. She believes effective treatment extends beyond the treatment room and places strong emphasis on supporting patients in making sustainable lifestyle changes that promote long-term healing. Rose works to help each patient feel informed, supported, and empowered throughout their care. Her clinical interests include acute and chronic pain, headaches and migraines, digestive concerns, sleep challenges, and menstrual health.

Outside of the clinic, Rose enjoys spending time outdoors camping, hiking, and birdwatching, or staying in during Portland’s rainy months experimenting with seasonal cooking and settling in with a good book. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Virginia Commonwealth University, and her appreciation for Chinese Medicine is deeply rooted in its rich history. Rose is especially drawn to studying the historical foundations of this centuries-old medical system and how its enduring practices continue to be applied in modern care.
